WORSHIP
Every Sunday we gather for worship at 10:00. Music is piano-led and comes primarily from Evangelical Lutheran Worship. Our style of worship is liturgical, relaxed, and approachable. Because our liturgy uses ancient language to speak to our contemporary context, our services have both "traditional" and "contemporary" elements. Some of our prayers and songs go back to the earliest believers while others were written this year or even this week. You can find answers to many common questions about why we worship the way we do here.
Kids and Worship
Kids are an integral part of our liturgical life. Older kids serve as worship leaders by reading, helping with communion, and serving as acolytes. We also have children's sermons every Sunday as well as a PrayGround, a special space in our sanctuary designed to aid our youngest worshippers. come hear the music
The de Mets family has donated the organ once owned by Lee de Mets, F.A.G.O., the beloved father of ALC music director Peter de Mets, to our congregation.
Since its installation in December 2025 the organ has provided a sometimes bold, sometimes contemplative new sound to worship services here at ALC at the capable hands – and feet – of Peter de Mets. Liturgical music and hymns are accompanied alternately between the Roland digital piano and the organ, and supplemented by bell choir anthems, bringing a new range of musical expression to our distinctive mix of old and new elements.
Many thanks to the de Mets family for this generous gift and to Peter de Mets for continuing to enhance our services with his creativity and enthusiasm for Worship & Arts here at ALC. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
